Rules
|
Your use of this website and related Forums are bound by the following rules:
- Respect
Forum Moderators, as they are the authority of the forums. Speaking to
them with intentional spite will not be tolerated and may result in the
loss of your forum privileges.
- Any
posts that promote software piracy or even approach the subject will be
deleted on sight. Software piracy is a serious issue and talking about
it on this site especially will not be tolerated.
- Do
not post links to "warez" sites, personal websites or any other
inappropriate Internet sites, including, but not limited to,
pornography, racist/hate, game emulation, etc, sites. Buying and
selling accounts or items for any video game is also against the rules,
including discussion of hacks or potentially unsafe cheats.
- Flames
against any religon because of their beliefs will not be tolerated
either. Vulgar language, harassment, derogatory slurs, sexism,
nation-bashing and slander will not be tolerated, as will avatars
containing inappropriate themes.
- Posting
private discussions (conducted through e-mail, instant messaging, or
IMS) can be done only with permission from the original individual(s).
- If you have a complaint regarding another user, Private Message the appropriate moderator or any of the Admins.
- If HTML is permitted, do not use advanced HTML such as frames or tables to alter the format of your messages.
Similarly,
please do not use HTML unless you know it well enough to write a simple
Web page. Incorrectly coded HTML can cause problems with the use of
these forums for other users.
Use HTML within reason; let your own
mind be your guide. Links and font/color changes are perfectly
acceptable; conversely, if you do anything to render your text
unreadable or otherwise, your posts may be subject to deletion.
Posts
that misalign or otherwise corrupt the display of the forums are
subject to immediate deletion, and multiple attempts to do so will
result in the loss of your forum privileges.
- ANY
thread that is unrelated to the forum topic will be deleted or moved by
a Moderator. Multiple attempts to do so will result in the loss of your
forum privileges.
- Posting
links to other sites that offend or may offend other users will be
edited out or their posts deleted if not posted in Advertisers thread, including but not limited to the
types mentioned above.
Sites expressing hatred towards individuals or groups of users on this site are also strictly forbidden.
- No
spamming or flaming - this relates to multiple posting of the same
message in the same or multiple forums. No matter who you flame, you
are still flaming and please keep it to a minimum no matter who you
are.
- Do not post OUTWAR
or PIMPLORDS or KINGS OF KAOS or similar click me messages - these
posts will be deleted and the poster risks being banned.
- Imposters
will be deleted and in serious cases IP banned - Imposters are those
people that create an account that looks like someone elses account
name (usually by adding spaces after the name etc)
- These rules are subject to change by GamersCreed staff members at any time. If you have an issue with the setting or implementation of any rules, you may contact Array for the final word.
- No
Bumping of a message just to make it come to the top of the posts
again. You may add more to your post from time to time - but you should
be adding more detail or providing more information or ideas.
- No taking advantage of forum bugs.
- Do
not use unacceptable images as avatars (including but not limited to)
Pornography. Cases will be reviewed by moderators and repeat offenders
have their account and posts deleted.
All images (not only avatars), videos, etc. which are meant to offend, scare, or disturb someone in any way are not allowed. Doing so purposefully will in most cases result in a suspension. All cases are judged by moderators as to whether they can be reasonably harmful and will be removed if they are.
- A
word filter will replace certain offensive words with [Expletive
Deleted], any attempt to represent those words in any way to avoid the
replacement is not allowed. The GamersCreed Admin will determine
which words are offensive. That being said please keep cursing to a
minimum, we know that there are some people over the age of 18 here but
some are younger than 12 and we want them to be allowed to use this
forum.
- Any form of
denial of service (DoS) attacks are not only against the rules of this
site - they are against most countries laws and against the terms of
service for your ISP. Any attacks on this site, its server or its
infrastructure will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and all
parties involved will lose all access to this site and risk further
legal or commercial action.
A particluar form of DoS attack seems
to be to get a computer somewhere to reload a page over and over - many
times a second, which labours the server and will eventually cause an
outage if the server can never keep up with the request.
- Do
not use a separate account or computer to log in for the purpose of
evading a ban or disguising your identity. If you do, your alternate
account or IP address will be permanently banned, and in some cases of
evading bans, your original ban will be extended.
