E3 2008: New DS to be revealed by Nintendo? |

 The rumors about a new Nintendo DS just refuse to go away. A few weeks ago, there were speculations that a new DS would be showcased at E3 2008 but Nintendo came out and denied that they would unveil a new version of their handheld gaming console at this year’s E3.
Now IGN is reporting insiders have indicated to them that Nintendo could come up with a slimmed down version of the DS. What’s interesting is that the handheld will be cost less than hundred dollars. There are also speculations that Nintendo could bring out DS cartridges that are embedded with accelerometers.
Apparently Nintendo could display the new DS at this year’s E3 but there is no confirmation whether the slimmed down handheld will have the built-in accelerometer functionality. It seems that even Activision has a new peripheral designed for the Nintendo DS that would give the handheld motion and tilt functionality.
