Bungie has announced that a new Halo 3 map is to be released on Monday.
Dubbed Cold Storage, the new map will be available to download on 7
July and best of all,
won’t cost you a paisa.
According to Bungie, the new map will be implemented in regular
rotation in playlists that require the maps from the Legendary pack.
Those who already own the Legendary map pack will then be informed that
they have to download the new map in order to access their old
playlists. Although as Bungie points out, “since Cold Storage is free,
it shouldn’t be a big deal !! ”
And for those without the Legendary map pack, the price of the pack is to be reduced from 800 to 600 points. Now i'd call that cheap...
A 48 hour long seven player FFA playlist will also be appearing in Halo
3’s match making service, and just to round things off, a free picture
pack and theme will be available to download that same day.
All in all then, it might be time to back run Halo 3 again.
