Game controllers are available for the PC but one can only expect the
simple ones from Logitech or the Xbox 360 controller that Microsoft has
released for the PC. However, PC gamers have been yearning for a
Wiimote-like controller. Now Playhut’s GoLive2 has sent word about Stix, which is a motion-sensing controller for the PC.
Brian Zheng is the president of Playhut. He said,
“Stix will completely change the way people experience online and PC
gaming. At purchase, Stix will be compatible with thousands of free
online and retail games, and we are adding more games to that list
daily. The fun is endless with Stix, and the wide-range of free,
supported games makes this product perfect for every member of the
family.”
Stix is basically a wireless, touch-screen controller. The
controllers are compatible with thousands of existing, free online
games. Also, Golive2 is introducing two versions of the Stix, Stix 200
and Stix 400. The former adds active gameplay to 2D online gaming while
Stix 400 has support for 2D and 3D environments.
The Stix motion sensing controller for the PC will be released by
Golive2 in August 2008. They have also come up with a free, online game
portal, which they have named as Sphere. No info on the prices of Stix.
